I am a new independent musical artist, and I am proud to share my journey with you. It all started with a 2018 MacBook Air running Logic Pro X and an Audio-Technica ATR2100-USB microphone. I was eager to start this project and believed it would be easy, but little did I know what was in store for me.
My first recording session was a rude awakening. Despite having a decent baritone voice, my vocal control was lacking, and my breathing was inconsistent. I was frustrated by how many takes I had to discard due to these issues. I even considered quitting altogether, but my passion for music kept me going.
While I was recovering from a back injury, I stumbled upon vocal training videos on YouTube. These resources helped me improve my technique and gave me the confidence to keep going. I was determined to overcome the obstacles and make my music dream a reality.
I went on to purchase midi tracks from other artists, but I put my own spin on them to create my soundtracks. My vocal skills may have been a work in progress, but I was proud to use my own voice, even for the harmony parts.
Despite the lack of a sound booth, I managed to record my audio under a blanket in order to reduce external noise and minimize any echo from the room. Despite these challenges, I am pleased with the final result.
In conclusion, I hope my story inspires others to pursue their passions, no matter how challenging it may seem. I am grateful for the journey and the opportunities that lie ahead.
